West Bengal combines a dense Kolkata–Howrah banking market with tea-garden, border and Sundarbans-adjacent blocks where a full branch is still a long trip. Bank CSP West Bengal applications should say which of those worlds you are in — a Salt Lake counter and a Jalpaiguri garden-road shop are not interchangeable.
Why CSP demand looks different in West Bengal
Kolkata municipal areas are often over-served. Clearer gaps appear in North Bengal, laterite western districts, and island / riverine panchayats where transport is seasonal. Bengali on the counter is expected; Hindi helps in some industrial and Hindi-speaking pockets. Network downtime during monsoon should be planned for (backup data, inverter).
Areas from which we take West Bengal applications
We accept applications from Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, Siliguri / Darjeeling plains, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, Bardhaman, Midnapore and other districts. Enter the shop PIN in Bengali or English numerals — six digits.
Eligibility if you live in West Bengal
You need to be an Indian citizen, typically 18+, with basic education and a usable shop or room plus computer, internet, printer and biometric device. Banks do not use a separate “West Bengal rulebook” on this website — they use their own BC circulars. District-level viability (too many CSPs already, or no BC active) matters as much as your documents. See the eligibility guide.
