This page is the process guide. For definitions see what a Bank CSP / Bank Mitra is. For age, shop and device rules see eligibility. For income, see commission.
Step 1: Confirm you can actually run an outlet
Before filling any form, check three things: you are an adult Indian citizen with basic education; you can keep a ground-floor or street-facing space open in banking hours; and you can fund a computer, printer, internet and biometric device. If the space is only a bedroom in a gated society, most BCs will not proceed.
Step 2: Decide bank and location, not just “any CSP”
Write down the PIN of the shop, not your native village if you will operate elsewhere. Then choose a preferred bank on the application form. Use the state list if you want a location-specific guide.
Step 3: Keep a document folder ready
Aadhaar, PAN, 10th/12th certificate, shop photos, address proof and a cancelled cheque cover most first calls. Missing shop photos is the most common delay we see.
Step 4: Submit the Apply Bank CSP form
Use the online application. Enter a reachable mobile — the next step is a phone call, not an automatic CSP ID email. There is no government “CSP portal login” on this website.
Step 5: Verification call
We confirm name, PIN, space and preferred bank, and we say clearly that we are not the bank. If a Corporate BC is taking points in that circle, your enquiry is passed on. If not, we say so instead of inventing a vacancy.
Step 6: Bank / BC onboarding (not us)
KYC, police/background checks, training batch, device vendor and any security deposit are handled by the bank or its authorised BC. Only they issue a CSP ID. Anyone who asks for a large cash fee “in Apply Bank CSP’s name” for instant approval is not us.
Step 7: Open only after you have an ID
Do not print a bank fascia or take customer cash until the BC has authorised the outlet. Then follow their transaction limits, biometric hygiene and cash-handling rules.
Common mistakes
- Applying from a metro address while the shop is in another state — use the shop PIN
- Paying a Facebook “agent” for a fake CSP / Bank Mitra ID
- Expecting a salary; CSP income is commission and is not guaranteed
